Today (Sunday) we left Cologne about 0940h, yes that's early for a Sunday but we wanted to get a good start and enjoy our stop in Wuppertal. Today was a short journey just covering 102 miles, and, for the first time this holiday, the day went according to plan, hooray...🤩👍. We started off in cloud and ended the journey in sun. There was a slight drizzle in Wuppertal but that didn't detract from the train ride.

We rode to the terminus at Wuppertal Oberbarmen BF, disembarked to a local cafe to watch the world go by. We had 2 teas and coffees, all came with biscuits, and the bill was only 7.20 euros, extremly good value for money.

The main highlight of the day was our stop in Wuppertal to have a ride on their suspension monorail (https://schwebebahn.de/en).

For us, this is facinating, you can see in the link above the train arriving at our station

The above YouTube link shows the train leaving the terminus

What a great day, we are now going into the old town of Munster for and evening meal, more to follow...

Additional information:

We asked the receptionists the location of a good restaurant, they gave us direction to 2 very traditional places:

We ate in this restaurent:

...and our food was most delightful:

More to follow tomorrew...
