As a result of last night's fire in our hotel meaning that we retired later than planned we changed our travel plans for today. Originally, we were going to stop in Pilsen but as the ride was 3 1/2 hours saddle time and, of course, we need to stop, and we didn't want to arrive too late, we opted for the direct route, 182 miles.

The roads were very clear and the skies were blue, it was hot with temperatures reaching 48 degrees on the motorway (according to the information boards) and it felt quite like it. We packed our jackets and travelled in tee shirts 😎. you couldn't ask for better weather. The trike behaved impeccably 🏍👍.

We arrived in Nuremberg (the city of WWII war crime trials) at about 1545h, checked in, unpacked and had a chat with Michelle and Matt. Eventually we walked out into the old town. Here are a few photos:

We had a very nice Italian meal, a pizza on steroids !!:

While we were there the winds began to blow, the clouds came over and a storm was pending The winds were so strong that it blew a large plant pot over us and the large umbrella was blown onto Sand's head:

It was OK, the pot didn't break...😆😂

It cleared to outside very quickly:

...all of the equipment was taken inside before the deluge. We managed to walk back to our hotel without getting wet.

We move on tomorrow.
