Our room in the Bella Vista Hotel in Constance was really quite small, in fact it was the smallest room so far. We were on the top floor and it was like a sauna, little or no air flow and no space to move around. The bathroom was exceptionally small:

On the "upside" it was in a great location for us and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Our sleep was disturbed by a loud thunderstorm and lightening which again occurred during the early hours followed by torrential rain. When we finally woke it was still raining, Sand checked the weather in all of our locations all of which reported thunderstorms, so we changed our minds and took the direct route to Freudenstadt which was 93 miles.

After about an 1 1/2 hours, much of which was travelling in the rain, we stopped in an Esso garage which was also a bistro, we refuled the trike and also had hot drinks and a snack. While were were there a massive thunderstorm and lightening with heavy rain passed over, we waited until it eased off and then continued our journey. We arrived very early, just before 1330h and parked the trike in their car park !!! 😮😪😕:

Yes, it's on the road parking and we squeezed into the last available place ! 😏😣.

When I booked the hotel, the blurb stated that car parking was available, this morning I received a message via Booking.com that there are only a very limited set of availabe spaces, there is a public car park 100 meters away. The hotel boasts that it is a Michelin starred restaurant but it's closed 🤣😂 we're not doing too well are we? The blurb also stated that there is air conditioning, well not in our room...

We walked out towards the market place and found a cafe that sold beer and wine so we ventured in and was served by an Australian man who was visiting his girlfriend who was managing the cafe for her family. We stayed there chatting to them on and off between them serving other people. The cafe closed at 1730, I went to the loo before leaving and when I returned to Sand at the table there was another glass of wine waiting for us, he poured it out saying it was "on the house." We'll be back there for lunch tomorrow.

They pointed us in the direction of an Italian restaurant for our evening meal, which we had, and then walked back to our hotel quite late. It was quite cool by that time and our room was comfortable, ready for a good night's sleep.
