Day 4 in Cologne

rain 18 °C
View Touring Germany on RickAdderley's travel map.

We woke to cloudy skies and immenant rain, it was our intention to take the bus tour and hop on and off at various stops to see the city. When we arrived at the cathedral bus stop We were told that the bus had a defect and we had to wait for the next bus, by which time, when we boarded, the rain arrived. All through the tour it was heavy rain obliterating the views and preventing us from hopping off 😒. The tour was good lasting 1 1/2 hours meaning that when we returned to the cathedral we walked to Hard Rock (again) for a late lunch.

The Cathedral is magnificent and dominates the skyline in Cologne.

It's been quite nice relaxing day. The rain stopped by the time we left Hard Rock at 1600h and we walked back to our hotel via partaking of some beer in a local bar, sat outside, chatting and people watching.

We move on tomorrow and the weather forecast is dry 😄👍.
